The Run2Nowhere stage race is taking place this up-coming weekend. This brand new inaugural 2 day trail run event will happen from 9 to 10 September 2017 with the route covering mountains of the Breede River Valley. As this is a new stage race in McGregor with many first-time runners opting to do it, the limited 120 entries have been sold out within the first two weeks.
The focus of the event is on the joy of running within a festive village atmosphere with various fun spectator activities to keep the whole family entertained. Some of the spectator events include pottery classes, wine tasting and relaxing massages.
According to Con Viljoen, our well-known route planner, it is a very enjoyable route that will accommodate all level of runners. The distances are not too long but the runners definitely need to reserve some energy to tackle the few climbs. On Saturday the runners will do 20,7 km with a 510m incline and on Sunday the runners will head out to Lord’s Winery for the start of the race and run 17km with a 340 incline.
Our energetic organising team and generous sponsors are excited to welcome all the runners to the fun filled Run2Nowhere weekend!
