Another festive year in the flowers. 550 people making the journey up to the Gifberg to join in the fun and adventure of this unique festival. Aside from the live music, Secret Sunrise, yoga, bee workshops, camping, and our infamous open mic, the trail aspect of the festival is one of the big attractions. There is a family 4km fun run, a tough and beautiful 9km, and the very challenging and technical 20km trail routes on offer. We had one of our hottest days in our 12 year history, but despite this, spirits and outfits were out of this world, and some performances to match.
Simon Purdon taking the honours in the 20km, and in 2nd place overall and a new female course record, Bianca Tarboton in 1h57:55.
We look forward to next years event on the 4th, 5th and 6th September 2020. Entries for the event open April 1st 2020 – www.namaqualandflowerfestival.co.za.
