Richterveld Transfrontier Wildrun
11 June, 2018 @ 06:00 - 15 June, 2018 @ 17:00
An eager response to the 200km, 5 day Richtersveld Transfrontier Wildrun® has opened up an opportunity for Wildrunner to announce a new bi-annual split in the Wildrun® Africa experiences through this ancient, mountain desert wilderness area.
Launching anew in June 2018 will be a 3-day, 110km version that will continue the legacy of the original Richtersveld Wildrun® and will run every two years. Alternating every other year beginning in June 2019, will be the former 5 day, 200km ‘Transfrontier’ edition, renamed as ‘The Namibia Crossing’.
We will announce full event information here, and through the Wildrunner social media channels soon. Entries for both will open at the end of November 2017. As always, adventure awaits.
A 200km, five-day foot race from South Africa to Namibia through the ancient arid landscape of the /Ai/Ais-Richtersveld Transfrontier Park.
From the crystal fields of Sendelingsdrif in South Africa to the infamous giant boulders of Tatasberg deep in the /Ai/Ais-Richtersveld Transfrontier Park; this unparalleled journey then crosses the Orange River into Namibia and the wild lands of the Fish River Canyon. This is the running experience of a lifetime; this is the Richtersveld Transfrontier Wildrun®.
