Welcome to the 9th edition of Namaqualand Flower Run and Festival…

Join us for some fun in the spring sun. The Namaqua Flower Fest is for the young and adventurous at heart.One weekend filled with flowers, camping, dancing, running, singing, gazing and laughing.

Together with a beautiful trail run, there are plenty other activities to look forward to. Star gazing, live music, an open mic evening, an educational flower and bush walk, sunise yoga, and an EPIC special surprise this year from the No Danger Diaries Crew.

This event is all about experiencing the outdoors and enjoying in the flowers dotted around the countryside, all while mixing with like-minded people.

The fun happens at the Gifberg Holiday Farm. Being much closer to Cape Town than previous years, it is more accessible for those coming from Cape Town, but you will still get the great wilderness feel.

On the weekend there are 2 distance trails available for the runners. A challenging 21km and a scenic 9km trail. Runners will experience a 20km loop on the Bushman Trail traversing bushman paintings and cruising past rock pools. The 9km route is a completely different route, where the trail heads past indigenous flora and mountain forests finishing with a refreshing water crossing.

There are limited entries available for both routes.

The Glamping option has been included this year for those wanting a bit of comfort. This includes – 

• A tent provided for you and set up on your arrival
• Glamping area is up in a private area above the rest of the camping
• Glamping kitchenette area with stove and kettle provided.
• Tent set up & provided (bring your own bedding & mattress)
• Entry includes the run
• Lunch on the Saturday
• All the weekend activities

Cost:

Entries are R490 per runner for the long 20km route and R490 for the short 9km route. This includes:

Friday 2nd September 3pm-11pm

Saturday 3rd September 6:00am – 6:45am on the morning of the race

Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded for the first 3 males and females to finish in each race, as well as plenty of great prizes on the day.

Start Time:

The Long route starts at 7:15am. All competitors are required to be at the start for race briefing at 7:00am.

The short route starts at 7:45am.

Accommodation:

Camping will be available. Very rustic and simple facilities on on the Gifberg Resort farm.
