Description: “The one with that hill.” A proper set of trail runs in Jozi that winds though the lush Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens – voted the best place to get back to nature in Gauteng for 9 years in a row – and climbs the relentless ridges of the adjoining Muldersdrift Hobby Park. A magical 2km loop for the kids while the longer 6km loop and 12km circular route head further into the open rocky Highland grassland and more technical running sections are both a great challenge to tackle on a Sunday morning. Fiercely competed or enjoyed at a more leisurely pace, both pass by the cascading waterfall and cliffs home to a breeding pair of majestic Verreaux’s Eagles. Bring a picnic and come and enjoy the gardens with us. There will be food and drinks on sale and a jumping castle for the kids.
