This Trail Run is hosted between Fouriesburg and Clarens in the Eastern Free State, the most beautiful corner of South Africa. Running next to the tranquil waters of the little Caledon River next to the Lesotho border, surrounded by the Maluti and Red Mountains.  You can escape from everything BUT the simplicity and beauty of nature. A race packed with exciting climbs, turns, forest sections and most importantly down hills… this trail is all about escaping the everyday rush. 

 

Runners can Relax from the Friday afternoon in the CHILL-ZONE next to the pool enjoying a nice locally Brewed Draught Beer, have a nice G&T or just be in awe surrounded by natures best.

 

Saturday kicks off with an early start for the BUT ultra and the BUT short race runners, Runners returning at around 8:30, can enjoy the CHILL-ZONE packed with entertainment from local bands to History chats understanding our Brandwaterkom a bit better… or even take a trip to Clarens about 20 min drive from the Venue.

 

Sunday promise to be nothing less with great trail running followed by a Praise and Worship in the chapel.

There will also be massages available for the stiff legs at reasonable prices and a physiotherapist on site to fix all those ITB’s and other injuries.
