SUMMARY:Brandwaterkom Ultra Trail
DESCRIPTION:This Trail Run is hosted between Fouriesburg and Clarens in the Eastern Free State\, the most beautiful corner of South Africa. Running next to the tranquil waters of the little Caledon River next to the Lesotho border\, surrounded by the Maluti and Red Mountains.  You can escape from everything BUT the simplicity and beauty of nature. A race packed with exciting climbs\, turns\, forest sections and most importantly down hills… this trail is all about escaping the everyday rush.  \nRunners can Relax from the Friday afternoon in the BUT FEST ZONE next to the pool enjoying a nice locally Brewed Draught Beer\, have a nice G&T or just be in awe surrounded by natures best. \nSaturday kicks off with an early start for the BUT ultra and the BUT short race runners\, Runners returning at around 8:30\, can enjoy the BUT FEST ZONE packed with entertainment from local bands to History chats understanding our Brandwaterkom a bit better and most importantly cooling down in the pool. \nSunday promise to be nothing less with great trail running followed by a Praise and Worship in the Oranje Guest Farm chapel. \nBUT Ultra Trail run: 67km @R850 \nThis race is completely self navigating and routes will NOT be marked. \n\n5 aid stations over the 2 days\nRace Briefing on both Friday and Saturday night at 18:00\nFinishers Medal\nCompulsory gear: Navigation equipment\, trail running shoes\, hydration pack that can be fulled at aid stations\n\nBUT short Trail run: 42km @R650 \n\n4 aid station over the 2 days\nRace Briefing\nFinishers Medal\nCompulsory gear: trial running shoes\, hydration pack that can be fulled at aid stations\n\n  \nBUT Berg and Chill Trail runs: 10km @R260 & 5km @R120 \n\n1 Water point\nFinishers Medal\n\n  \nBUT FEST ZONE \nLive local bands\, Heated pool\, Draught Beer and Gin on tap\, Cash Bar\, Great food\, fires for the braai lovers and the BUT Merchandise shop to only mention a few. \nThere will be lekker “Braai-Pakkies” sold If you would like to stay for a braai. \nCoffee and pancakes will also be available before and after the race. \nThere will also be massages available for the stiff legs at reasonable prices and a physiotherapist on site to fix all those ITB’s and other injuries.  \nBring the whole family for a fun fulled day with entertainment relaxing in and out the amazing swimming pool
