Run for Wildlife

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA (CoGH) has limited, guaranteed sought-after entries into this year’s Sanlam Cape Town Peace Trail Run (12km and 22km), which takes place on the 22nd of September 2018.

This year by joining Team SPCA, Sanlam Cape Town Peace Trail Run runners will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the many wild animals that can be seen in and around Cape Town’s beautiful landscape, while out on the trails.

The CoGH SPCA’s Wildlife Department saw a total of 2 715 wild animals last year with 1 825 of these animals requiring admission to our short term care facility for further treatment. Running for Team SPCA helps us to provide sick, injured and cruelly treated wildlife with a life line – A life line that in many instances, is their last hope to live as nature intended them to – in the wild.

If you are as passionate about wildlife as we are, all you have to do is sign up is pledge to raise a minimum of R2 500 for the SPCA. This amount covers your race entry, gets you a limited edition SPCA branded running tee, a draw string sports bag, a pair of polarized Glider Sunglasses, PVM energy Bars and a few other surprise items. Most importantly, the funds raised will go directly towards supporting the CoGH SPCA’s Wildlife Department, who work tirelessly 24/7, rescuing and caring for all kinds of wildlife in Cape Town.

As an added incentive, runners who raise the most funds stand a chance of winning a R2000 Inov-8 voucher kindly sponsored by our friends at Rebel Elite Fitness.

Whether you’re a novice or a fitness fanatic, the CoGH SPCA invites you to take up the challenge and make your race count for more! We only have 35 TEAM SPCA entries available so don’t delay – sign up today!
