Thursday, 05 November 2009 Duzi trail run 2 report
The second race of the series took place this weekend past and saw 125 runners on the starting line in the Cumberland Nature Reserve, just 20 minutes drive from Pietermaritzburg.
The majority of the field opted for the more technical 14km route, however, serious and social athletes alike were treated to views of the spectacular Umngeni valley. Iain and Sue Don Wauchope of Mountain Splendor, once again showed their class by winning the men's and ladies race respectively and in doing so securing the series titles after only two races.
The final event in the Talbot Laboratories DUCT Trail Running Series takes place on Saturday the 7th of November. Trails will take runners through the Mpushini Valley just outside Ashburton - don't miss out!
Registration begins at 5:30am, and racing starts at 6:30am. For further information please contact Andrew Booth on 0826034098 or visit http://www.roag.co.za/ to enter.
