Event categories and format:
This is a 3-in-1 event with the emphasis very much on social running and having fun, however, there is a competitive element for those who can't help themselves! The event is a lap event. Lap distance is ±3,7km of fairly challenging trail running
    1. The 24-hours event is a team relay in which teams of up to 7 runners (minimum 3) run the ±3.7km lap starting at noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday, tallying the combined number of laps covered in that period of time. There are 3 team categories  Open (any mix of genders, up to 7 members), Mixed (team includes 3 or more women), Biltong Boys/Girls (average age of team is 45 years or more)
A bonus lap will be awarded to all teams who complete more than 7 laps at night
    2. The 6-hours solo event is a race and an individual challenge. It takes place over the same course as the 24-hour event, starting at 15h00 and finishing at 21h00. Each runner circuits the route continuously for the 6 hour period and tallies his/her total number of laps run
    3. The 12-hours two-man team event is not a relay but rather the two team mates run laps together for the duration, starting at noon and finishing at midnight. The team result is calculated according to the number of laps run together in 12 hours
A bonus lap will be awarded to all 24-hours teams who start and complete 7 laps or more at 'night time' (between 19h00 - 05h00)
